Fine tea specialists The Tea Makers of London engaged Three Monkey for a sophisticated brand & packaging refresh.
A BRAND EXPERIENCE
The Tea Makers brand encourages exploration, relaxation and discovery, evoking an enlightened journey with every exotic sip.
This undercurrent of ‘an experience’ flows through everything we have created for The Tea Makers. Our logo design speaks about the simple origins of a celebrated global tradition, and our packaging is alluring, premium and tactile. Our matcha pack is the epitome of this approach, evoking a Japanese sense of simplicity, ritual and gift.
With a catalogue of over 100 fine teas, part of our challenge was to craft a way in which The Tea Makers products could be visually categorised. Our consumer research confirmed that not only colour, but pattern also, would be the best method to distinguish between different teas.
Inspired by the warm, earthy and often bright hues different leaves may turn across seasons, we combined colours with patterns intrinsic to region. This allowed us to create 11 beautiful tea-type categories, each visually defined by a unique colour/pattern design.
The Tea Makers’ existing client base have wholeheartedly embraced the brand evolution, strengthening global presence on and offline. In addition, our work could be the catalyst for future The Tea Makers on-shelf retail in the UK – exciting stuff.
