SIMPLY LUNCH: ON THE WING

London-based Simply Lunch recently commissioned us to work with them, taking their food-to-go brand to fresh heights.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Simply Lunch began as a small sandwich enterprise over 30 years ago, with an even longer heritage. Originally, it was just one man and his van creating tasty, high-quality lunches for those on the move.

Now, the brand is run by his two sons, who are just as dedicated to producing good grub. In the last ten years, Simply Lunch has grown fast to become a catering company – it was imperative the company’s design kept up.

Three Monkey were asked to evolve the brand architecture and packaging to the next level, bringing more impact, distinction and memorability.

FRESH AND FAMILIAR

A brand development project, it was crucial to stay close to the existing brand themes and values, but elevate on a whole. This meant remaining true to the established aesthetic, while introducing exciting new elements and forms.

Through market research and idea development, we created a route forward that really buzzed. A bright & bold hummingbird pattern, reflecting newly-chosen category colours, brought life and vibrancy to the fast-paced brand. New typography updated the look and we reworked the existing packaging too, revitalising packs & labels.
