Looking for more bite, Gastro Culinary Innovation came to Three Monkey Design to enhaance and relaunch their food service brand.
THE ‘GASTRO’ ADVENTURE
Brand evolutions are all about upcycling. For this fast-paced, trend-led brand, we needed a fresh and funky new look.
We selected a few familiar elements – such as the scenic illustrations – and updated them to work within a new framework. Introducing black as a core colour positioned the brand, and bright circles with big, bold typography injected both personality and impact. Delicious.
Based in the food service industry, ‘Gastro’ needed a visual story to excite foodies and clients alike, so we introduced the larger-than-life ‘Gastro Girls’ as a secondary element.
These quirky illustrations are on a global culinary quest, flavouring everything from past exhibition stands to the innovative Gastro website.

A big part of the ‘Gastro’ mission is sourcing food trends from around the world and bringing them to the UK, packaged. We’ve created graphics and construction for a number of trend-led lines, including Afternoon Tea (with Twinings) packs, Street Eatz wraps and Deli Sweet u-cards.

Gastro Culinary Innovation is now onboard several major travel services, with plenty more exciting opportunities up ahead.
