HOT DESIGN FOR COLD MEATS
The marvelously moreish world of Simply Sliced cured meats took us on a delightful journey from farm to feast.
The creative brief to Three Monkey Design was to light a fire in the cold meat food category and create a stand out brand that would shake up the staid cold meats market.
Always hungry for a challenge, and no strangers to a well-crafted sandwich, we were eager to explore the possibilities of disrupting the chiller aisle.
CHILLED OUT, TUNED IN
With a clear objective to direct consumers to purchase a premium product sourced from UK farms, we donned our branding and design hats, took a trip to several local Sussex supermarkets and wandered up and down the chilled isle. After researching the sliced meat category, we soon realized that Simply Sliced had a unique proposition and an opportunity to create a brand like no other currently on-shelf.
Why? Because the products weren’t just meat – they were simply stuffed full of delicious extras, and it was from this point the on-pack creative was born.
A SLICE OF HAPPINESS
Each yummy ingredient was showcased using clever typography and scaled words, with the bold use of colour and illustrations clearly identifying each flavour in the range. Fun and contemporary, but with a nod to the more elegant British pastoral past of old.
Additionally, the packaging construction allowed shoppers to see the premium quality of the products – tempting them to give this new, exciting brand a try.
Stand out creative, standing head and shoulders above the competition. Simply done and simply delicious.
